Aftermath of Christmas

The lonely Christmas tree. It reminds me of Hans-Christian Andersen's tale 'the fir tree' which you can read here.
Cela me rappelle le conte "le sapin" de Hans-Christian Andersen. Pour le lire, c'est par ici.

So where is the silly little thing? In an alleyway? Who put it there? Are the garbage people going to pick it up?

Old Xmas trees are really useless. Actually, they're useless on Dec. 26. People keep them up longer but the party's over. Take 'em down and toss 'em out. They have no feelings anyway.

Do they?

Unfortunately, I don't have a live Christmas tree any longer -- not since the one I bought died two days before Christmas about 10 years ago. I leave my tree up year round because I have so many ornaments to display and no place to store things. I only turn the lights on in December tho unless someone new visits my place and wants to see it lit up.

That said, I think it was a good catch and interesting subject for our times. . .
