Always love your captures because they are all terrific whether B&W, color, nature or your beautiful country and today is the perfect example! It would be the perfect book cover for a mystery novel! Superb! Enjoy your weekend, Cieldequimper!

Ooh, creepy.
I would not like to open the shutters and try to sleep with those shadows dancing on my bedroom wall.

Great night photo.

These shadows seem to have taken over the side of the building and look like they plan on spending the night! Very nice ShadowShot!

BE MY COMPANION

Come here, my shadow,
Do not delay;
Be my companion,
Show me the way;
Teach me your secrets,
Chant as we go
Of light and darkness—
Make my heart glow!

I had the same reaction as your previous commenters - Very mysterious, very moody. Beautiful!

So beautiful. I don't think it's creepy at all, just lacy. Perfect shadows for this building.

This is a fine view! The black & white is perfect for the stark shadows - the trees seem so much bigger and menacing in monochrome. I like this, the shadows cool. And the architecture, we don't have building with French style in the USA, and nothing around here has shutters that actually cover the window - ours are for decoration only. And we do not have such balconies with stylish iron railings. A great and lovely shadow view in a beautiful town!!

Mystical and fascinating in monochrome! Almost like a street waiting for a secret story to evolve!

Eerie...a great cover for a mystery novel...Murder in Versailles, for example. If you write the book you've already got the cover!

Happy Rainly Sunday Morning to You.....This one is out of the ballpark as we would say here in the states. It is wonderful. The capture and composition are the very best. Today’s shot has to be one of my very favorites. Just beautifully done.

Day and Night. What different moods the two photos have. The colored version warm and inviting, the b&w mysterious and intimidating. I think I like the b&w best.

Fantastic! I think the monochrome makes it look eerie.
